A New Friend!

Here is Riley with her new friend Adella! Adella is Tim and Lexi's daughter. Tim is a longtime friend of Brad's. Adella is 6 months old.
Speaking of 9 months. Riley had her latest doctor's appointment where she weighed in at 24 pounds and 30 1/2 inches long. She is off the charts in both weight and height.

Swimming!

Here's Riley at her first swim classes! She loves the water. I don't know just how much she's learning, but at least she's not afraid of the water!

Happy New Year!

My mom and dad have an annual New Year's Day party at their house. We spent the day eating delicious Japanese food and spending the day with friends and family. Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Gene got Riley this very cute yukata for Christmas, so she had to wear it to New Year's!

Uncle Rob and Aunt Nadja

The day after Christmas Uncle Rob and Aunt Nadja come over and spent the day with my parents, Riley, and I. Unfortunately, Brad had to work. Rob made us a delicious lunch and Mom and Dad treated all of us to a delicious dinner. Brad and I went out to dinner sans Riley, which is always a bit strange now...since we're always with her!

My First Christmas!

Christmas Day was spent at our house. We had a nice Christmas morning opening gifts and having a pancake breakfast with my parents. Great Aunt Diane was able to spend the holiday with us this year, too! Brad made a delicious prime rib and everyone else pitched in to make a fantastic dinner. The rest of the evening was spent decorating a gingerbread house and playing Pictionary! What fun!

My First Christmas Eve Dinner!

Christmas Eve was spent at Brad's parent's house. Each year we spend the night with Jeanne's side of the family. This year Cousin Earle and Cousin Debbie, Great Uncle Earle and Great Aunt Margie were there. We always enjoy a delicious meal and, as you can see Grandpa Gene pouring brandy on the cake, we end the meal with flaming treat!

Snow in Tahoe!

With two weeks off from school, we decided it was time to head up to Tahoe! We spent about 3 days relaxing...it was great! At home I always have 'things' to do, but up there, I feel no guilt in putting my feet up! It was Riley's first experience in the snow! I'm not quite sure what she thought of the cold, white stuff. We are sure she'll love it eventually. We can't wait to take her sledding and skiing someday...so she'd better like it!!
